Some things that kids say, or sing rather

Here's a song I overheard one of my Mom's kids singing.

"Deck the hall with gasoline, fa la la la la la la la la!
Light a match and make it gleam, fa la la la la la la la!
Watch the school burn down!"

...I worry about American youth sometimes. They can't even RHYME.

  1. That's a little different from what we were singing when I was a kid:
    Jingle bells
    Batman smells
    Robin laid an egg
    The Batmobile lost a wheel
    And joker got away

    ;)

  3. we three kings of orient are
trying to smoke a rubber cigar
    it was loaded, and exploded
    something about a star...

I may have the last line wrong.

  4. Dashing through the snow
On a pair of broken skis
    Over the hills we go
    Bashing into trees
    Ow ow ow
    The snow is turning red
    I think I'm almost dead
    Oh what fun
    It is to ride
On a pair of broken skis!

I recall that one from my youth, as well as the jingle bells, Batman smells

  5. Lor, I was totally going to post that.
SInce it was you who stole the thunder right from under me, I will let it go.

Anywho, we sang so many songs when we were kids, or at least I did. There was one involving a teacher and a toilet.

...watch it go round and round...

it escapes me at the moment,

    I'll get it eventually
