There is nothing I specifically want to accomplish with this blog other than having more of a sense of self, to discover who I am as a person and to document it in a way that is pleasing to the eyes, ears, heart, and funny bone. Plus, I am confident that my bouts with life are easily relatable. I try to be real, honest, and true to myself and to the stories that I tell, which makes past musings great for inner reflection after the fact. To watch, or in this case read, yourself grow and mature is an incredible and spiritual experience. I invite you to watch me grow, because you might just learn a thing or two about yourself in the process.
I am a twenty-one-old student of life. I am a proud fiancee of a member of the USCG, Michael, and often speak of the trials and gifts of love. I also am nerdier than I let on, and host a blog with Mike called The Couch Dwellers in honor of that side of me.
"Why 'Documenting the Delusional'?"
Every milestone in my life that I can clearly recall has the potential of being referred to as delusional, though they all seemed to work in my favor. Each decision I've made thus far has contributed to the life that I am leading now, so why shouldn't I embrace decisions that some might consider a little loopy and unrealistic?
Michael and I met online when I was about sixteen. I have been known to frequently make friends on the internet and have made it a point to meet a vast number of them since I was thirteen. I dropped everything that I was doing and moved to Alaska for a month last year because I wanted to. I have been working on book ideas and short stories since I was eleven. When I first created my blog, I was viewed as delusional for even expecting it to go in the direction that I wanted it to. I aim to be a full time writer, which automatically deems me as the unrealistic type.

Reason is a boundary that we create for ourselves as an excuse to keep us from pursuing what it is that we truly want, because taking chances that do not work in our favor can at times ruin us. And it is just plain hard, y'know? But I am persistent, I have selective hearing, and I have endured worse than "Well that just doesn't make sense, Jessica." Delusion does not have to be a bad thing.
