I really cannot wrap my head around the fact that when some people are going through a tough stage in their lives, they immediately succumb to this notion that no one on Earth has ever felt or experienced what they have. And they voice this with pointed fingers when you reach out to pull them out of the shithole they dug themselves. I don't know whether to laugh at them or feel sorry for them. I don't know whether to help them or throw my hands up and say "fuck it!" You cannot help those who seek pity, not advice. I would like to believe that I am in complete understanding when I am feeling down that there are people out there who feel the same way. It took me a while to get to this point, but I'm here now, and it's refreshing. Either that, or I need a reality check too.

Please, please, please do not let yourself fall so deep in this hole that you cannot accept reality when someone is trying to give it to you, because if this is a reoccurring state you put yourself in, you are going to be one lonely, lonely person.
